Cliff Diving

Cliff Diving is a nice Flash game with an evil twist. Your deft hands will have to save the monkeys that are ready to jump off the cliff. It would not be a problem if the sea waters were calm, but the tide is strong and the monkeys are a little too impatient. If you do not want them to hurt themselves, you must catch them before they choose to dive on their own. However, developing the right skills to make the monkeys dive only when the tide is right can be a bit tricky. Luckily, these small furry animals are nothing but Flash animations and they cannot really be hurt.

There are three types of monkeys that are bent on jumping off the cliff. The one that wears a hat has troubles with the wind, so you need to time its diving moment against the wind if you want it to hit the water safely. The skinny monkey (you will recognize it by its lighter color) does not do well with gravity, which means that it can float a little, taking you by surprise. The average monkey does not have trouble with wind or gravity, but just like the other two, is quick to leap it has troubles with the wife (that might explain its eagerness to get away fast).

The trick with this game is that you must always time the diving moment for each monkey carefully. Missing a wave basically means that you will kill the monkey, having it crushed against the rocks beneath the shallow waters. Also, you cannot wait too long as these monkeys seem to be quite hard-headed when it comes to their diving pleasures. They will dive no matter where the tide is, which means that they are killed a lot. Whether you are the one pulling the plug on the jumpy playful creatures or they are doing it to themselves, it does not really matter. For each monkey that gets smashed against the rocks instead of landing into the water, you will have one monkey taken off the bar on the center on the screen. You can only have five monkeys killed,  then it’s game over.

It may take a while to become a professional dive master for monkeys, but, if you keep your eyes on the score, you can improve your performance.

What are you waiting for? The monkeys are ready to jump!
